AboutI was born and raised in Saskatchewan and came to the West Coast of Vancouver Island in 1975 when our family of 7 moved out here as my father took a position with the Newly Sanctioned Pacific Rim Park Reserve, situated between Ucluelet and Tofino on the Traditional Ancestral Lands of the Nuu-chah-nuth First Nations. My intentions were to go back to Saskatoon and attend the University of Saskatchewan following my High School Graduation in 1976 to pursue a career in Civil Engineering. It did not take long for this Prairie Boy to become forever attached to the West Coast and the Magic of Vancouver Island and its People. Since I was a young boy I always had my hand in some type of service related work be it Selling/Delivering Newspapers/Flyers, as a Golf Caddy, working as a Messenger Delivery Boy on my bicycle or being a Handyman/Gopher for a Small Renovation Company. I have always enjoyed being around people and making them smile and laugh. I spent from Grade 1 to Grade 4 going to a Residential Day School in Northern Saskatchewan on the Montreal Lake First Nations Lands and it was these early years that forged the bonds that taught me the importance of relationships and the power of understanding in that we share more Commonality then Differences as Members of the Human Race. I started my adult working career in a Fish Cannery in Ucluelet in 1976 then graduated to an Exciting 10 year Stint in the Logging Industry working in the Great West Coast Rain Forests. I left in 1986 to begin a 35 year career in the Sales and Service Industries that continues to this day. I have had the amazing good fortune to have worked with over 4, 000 people on this Island that has provided myself and family this Wonderful Life. The Passion we have for the Vancouver Island Life Style is what we want to Share with those who are True Islanders, those who have found it already like myself or those still looking to follow the Dream that brings people from all over the World to this Uniquely Canadian Piece of Paradise.
