I thought I was going to be a Vet, then a Pharmacist then a banker. In 1981 I went to a Home Buyers’ Laws and Procedures Workshop and I instantly knew I wanted to be a real estate agent. The mortgage rates were 18%, I was 23 years old, I knew nothing about real estate but I was determined to be a Realtor® so I could help people. And although it is decades later, I still love this business. I am helping people every day. I am humbled. People let me into their lives. They share their stories with me. I share in the journey with them. Real estate is not just a career to me; it is a huge part of my life. I have learned to be versatile, I value education and continually take courses. I study the ever-changing market trends and statistics. I believe I will never know it all or have seen it all. For 29 years of my career I was with RE/MAX and I was proud to be a RE/MAX agent. I have received the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award, RE/MAX Hall of Fame, Top Ten Club for RE/MAX Agents in Regina numerous times and the RE/MAX Regina Purple Heart Award for dedication and involvement with RE/MAX and the Regina Community. I never thought I would leave RE/MAX. Until I heard about eXp Realty. Then I stopped sleeping! There have been many changes in business platforms in the years and real estate is no different. When I heard about eXp Realty being a 100% Cloud Based Brokerage I was intrigued. The more research I did, the more I became excited that this was the cutting-edge future for real estate and I wanted to be a part of it not only for myself but for my clients and colleagues. When I learned about stock options and revenue share opportunities, I thought about how after the last sale, that’s it. However, with eXp Realty I saw how I could have a retirement income, a legacy for my children and grandchildren and security in the event I or a family member became ill. In addition, eXp Realty is agent centric and its culture and core values spoke to me. My career has been built on honesty, integrity and always trying to do what is best. I always say that I love selling real estate because I love helping people. I view being an agent with eXp Realty as an opportunity to help my colleagues make their lives and their families’ lives better. To me, this is a golden opportunity. In my personal life I am blessed with a loving relationship, 2 adult children and 2 granddaughters. Time with family is the best! I have to say that my life keeps getting better every year. I am filled with excitement and anticipation for greater things to come and more opportunities to share with family, friends, colleagues and clients.
